Digital Marketing Coordinator – Chicago White Sox
The Chicago White Sox seek an experienced Digital Marketing Coordinator to assist with day-to-day digital marketing operations. This individual will help with the development and deployment of email and paid digital campaigns requested from key stakeholders.
With a strong reliance on digital marketing across the White Sox organization, this individual should possess both the organizational and creative skills to manage multiple campaigns and initiatives at any given time. This role will work cross-functionally with multiple departments at the White Sox as well as with representatives from Major League Baseball.
Job responsibilities:
As the Digital Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for a variety of digital marketing tasks such as email and paid digital content development, scheduling and sending emails, reporting on email performance, and supporting digital marketing efforts. Your primary goal will be to leverage email marketing as a tool to inform White Sox fans about upcoming ticket sales, events, promotions, and more.
More specifically, this role will be responsible for the following:
• Lead the day-to-day development and execution of email marketing efforts
• Support Digital Marketing Manager in the creation, execution, and reporting of campaigns across multiple digital channels
• Collaborate with creative and content teams to produce high-quality marketing emails in an organized and efficient manner
• Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders to ensure all requested emails are created and scheduled with appropriate lead time
• Establish processes to drive efficiency in email creation and deployment operations
• Seek opportunities to drive automation and segmentation within the email strategy to reduce workload and better engage fans
• Build relationships with key stakeholders (primarily in marketing and ticketing functions) to understand priorities, seasonality, and business impact of various products and initiatives that email is leveraged for
• Bring a ''test and learn'' mentality to optimizing subject lines, content, and copy throughout the email process
• Report to and work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to help identify additional opportunities to leverage digital marketing as a reliable driver of ticket sales and fan engagement
• Work closely with representatives at the MLB to ensure email campaigns are developed accurately and sent on-time
Qualifications:
We are looking to fill this role with a highly organized self-starter who can work well across departments.
• At least two years of hands-on digital and email marketing experience with responsibilities that include leveraging marketing automation tools, developing content, and reporting on key performance metrics (open rate, click rate, revenue, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) who can communicate effectively with individuals from different departments and at different levels
• An ability to work well under strict deadlines
• Familiarity with measurement and communication of traditional email KPIs
• Experience acting in a project management capacity with the ability to efficiently balance multiple projects without sacrificing deliverable quality
• A desire to evolve the White Sox organization's existing digital marketing and email strategy into something more robust and impactful
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Passion for baseball and sports is a plus.
This is a salaried non-exempt position
