Intern - Vertical Content

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

The Chicago White Sox are looking for an entry-level season-long Vertical Content Intern to assist in our organic content strategy on various social media platforms. This individual will work collaboratively with members of the digital content, public relations, community relations and marketing teams to create engaging vertical content, assisting in strengthening and growing the White Sox audience.

Responsibilities
• Assist with the daily planning, editing and publishing of vertical content for White Sox TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Snapchat channels
• Work with members of the Sox Social and SoxTV teams to brainstorm new concepts to help maintain the current audience while also appealing new fans
• Assist with the capturing and editing of pre-planned organic and sponsored social media content
• Serve as a content creator for home and away games (including nights and weekends), with responsibilities including cutting broadcast highlights, photo editing, updating social media templates, and managing various social media channels.
• Create and execute a season-long publishing schedule for Snapchat
• Stay up-to-date and educate team on latest platforms trends and content opportunities
• Help grow White Sox TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat accounts
• Edit Photoshop templates to assist with social posts
• Responsible for monitoring and tracking music rights through MLB software
• Tag and track published social media posts throughout the 2025 season
• Track and monitor in-depth social media analytics on a weekly and monthly basis

Requirements
• Strong knowledge of TikTok and Instagram platforms
• Intermediate understanding and working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere
• Willingness to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Please note that this position runs January-October.
