POSITION SUMMARY:
The 'Producer, Live Entertainment & Events' is an experienced storyteller and live event production expert, driving innovation and creative direction across the team. This role focuses on directing and overseeing all non-game day Cavs and Monsters events, both inside and outside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, ensuring fans and guests enjoy the best visual experience possible. This position plays a crucial role in live event production, managing the flow of content and ensuring seamless execution in the control room. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various production teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Direct and manage all aspects of live event production, including content flow and technical execution in the control room.
• Direct or oversee all non-game day Cavs/Monsters’ events inside and outside of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and ensures that fans and guests have the best visual experience possible. Events include, but are not limited to:
• • Large Press Conferences
• P&C Events (Spectaculars)
• Wine and Gold Gala
• Rock Hall Support
• Cavs United Event
• Wine & Gold Scrimmage
• Harlem Globetrotters
• Monster Jam
• MAC Tournament
• NCAA Events (WFF, Men’s NCAA, Wrestling)
• Events- American Heart Association, Corporate Rentals
• Collaborate closely with various production teams to ensure seamless integration of visual and audio elements.
• Represent the Events & Entertainment team and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse for all outside events delivering excellent customer service to internal and external teams.
• Recommends improvements to all arena shows using our arena technology and new technology to give Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse the edge in recruiting shows.
• Innovate and implement creative concepts that enhance the audience experience during events.
• Oversee the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of control room technology and equipment.
• Develop strong collaborative relationships that support game day initiatives, including third-party production partnerships and new technology partnerships.
• Knowledge of or willing to learn all pre-production and live production software and hardware needs.
• Able and willing to step into any role on a live event to ensure its’ success, including supporting Cavs and Monsters events when needed.
• Creates videos, graphics and animation content for the video boards, digital signage, LED ribbons and broadcast graphics.
• Serves as main customer contact for assigned projects. Coordinate tasks and responsibilities with other producers to ensure higher quality and timely project completion.
• Highly skilled at concept development, storyboarding, storytelling, scripting, production planning, shooting, editing, post-production, and finalizing content for final and approved distribution.
• Lead post-event evaluations to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or an equivalent amount of education and experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in video production, sports entertainment and/or live entertainment productions.
• Proven video-directing and control room production skills within live or broadcast environments.
• Must have flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and occasional Holidays as required by the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse events calendar.
• Strong understanding of video production tools, techniques and technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to work under high-pressure situations, ensuring seamless production during live events while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite of products.
• Experience with various video formats and platforms (digital, broadcast, social media).
