Responsibilities
OVERVIEW
The Marketing & Communications Assistant assists in the planning, management and delivery of CNBC International's marketing and communications activities across APAC. Working with the Marketing & Partnerships Manager, APAC and Communications Manager, APAC, the Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the team including servicing CNBC's international partnerships, promoting the CNBC's external publicity efforts. This role will be managed by the Marketing and Partnerships Manager APAC and support the Communications Manager APAC.
Qualifications/Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work closely with the Marketing & Partnerships Manager, APAC, support the delivery of CNBC's international partnerships, from liaising with partners to managing the post-campaign reporting
• Work with the Marketing & Communications Assistant in APAC to co-ordinate CNBC's premiums offering for external events
• Support the Marketing & Partnerships Manager, APAC and Communications Manager, APAC to track the annual budget
• Support the Marketing & Partnerships Manager, APAC to raise PO's relating to APAC marketing and communications activity for approval from the Head of International Communications & Strategic Partnerships
• Support the Marketing & Partnerships Manager, APAC and Communications Manager to ensure the consistency of CNBC brand across departments
• Communicate with key stakeholders in CNBC's bureau network to ensure marketing activity and communications are aligned
• Work closely with the Communications Manager, APAC to build PR plans to support the promotion of CNBC's editorial
• Assist in the delivery of a range of marketing projects and campaigns such as CNBC's presence at the World Economic Forum in Davos or RISE conference, Hong Kong
• Ensure CNBC International's show descriptions, anchor biographies and photographer bank are updated on a regular basis
• Work closely with CNBC's graphics departments to ensure show branding is up to date across CNBC's
• Support the development of CNBC International's weekly internal newsletter, Inside CNBC
• Support in the management of CNBC's marketing and PR presence on social media, specifically, the uploading of content to CNBC's @CNBCiPR twitter feed
• Create, manage and update targeted and specialty media lists for external publicity campaigns
• Ensure CNBC's online databases are kept up to date and are reviewed on a regular basis
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
• Impeccable attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage their own work in a number of streams at the same time, delivering on deadline imperative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills fundamental
• A team player with a collaborative and proactive attitude essential
• Confident IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word is key
• Previous experience working in a communications or marketing role desirable
• A willingness to learn about the media and news industry a plus
• Experience with email marketing platforms such as Dotdigital, MailChimp or similar would be advantageous
• Social media experience, including knowledge of analytics, would be a bonus
