Job Title: Director, Business Development & Commercial Strategy

Summary of Position:
The Director role is the primary support to the SVP of Business Development & Commercial Strategy at CNN, responsible for developing and driving growth strategies across the CNN portfolio. This role also supports the office of the COO, overseeing the broader operations of the business. The position requires a self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is comfortable working on multiple projects with tight timelines.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with CNN leadership to build strategic vision and oversee the implementation of high-priority commercial initiatives
• Drive operational connectivity across CNN and WBD, supporting area experts and driving collaboration and project plans
• Communicate status updates of CNN's commercial initiatives to senior leadership
• Provide presentation and modeling support for CNN leadership in collaboration with the CFO's team to support long-term business planning
• Identify commercial opportunities that align with CNN's goals by tracking industry trends and collaborating with business leaders
• Support the strategic planning process, including commercial modeling, presentation work, and effective communication

Your Role Accountabilities:
• Drive strategic planning and implementation
• Support the development of new business opportunities, such as partnerships and expansion into complementary businesses
• Ensure organization and efficiency in daily workflow
• Conduct financial modeling and technical business case evaluations
• Prepare presentation materials for the SVP and senior leadership
• Maintain strong inter-company relationships
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic planning, business development/operations, or a related media & entertainment field, with a preference for experience in digital operations
• Experience working in a complex stakeholder environment and managing strategic objectives
• Proficient in preparing complex operating models to support strategic initiatives
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently with strong research and analytical skills
• Knowledge of media landscape and trends

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $136,570.00 - $253,630.00 per year. Compensation may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
