Your New Role...
The Producer II for CNN International is a vital role in the newsroom that contributes to the production of live newscasts.They possess a commanding knowledge of current events and have the ability to build compelling rundowns to tell those stories.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Collaborate with supervisors, anchors and newsgathering colleagues to deliver strong, live newscasts.
• Be across key video and sound to call elements during shows.
• Partner with guest planners on focused segments.
• Coordinate with copy editors on writing assignments.
• Have a keen sense of show time, and demonstrate responsibility in placing sponsored content where required.
Qualifications and Experience...
• Must have a minimum of two years of experience line-producing network programming and have demonstrated the ability to build thoughtful rundowns independently.
• Ability to write copy quickly and have a strong knowledge of font codes and procedures.
• Possess a demonstrated interest in international news.
• Be comfortable working in high-pressure breaking news situations and demonstrate proficiency in communicating with their anchor and team during such events.
• Must be willing to work any shift including weekends and overnights.
