Academy Award-nominated and Emmy Award-winning Filmmaking team (married director/producer and writer/producer) seek full time assistant to start ASAP. Duties are both executive and personal.
Overview
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum two years of assistant experience. Resourcefulness, a professional manner, ability to multitask, and experience in a fast-paced environment are huge assets for the role.
• Candidate will ideally live in west Los Angeles and must have a car. Role is typically in-person 2 days/week and remote 3 days/week.
• Ability to start at the end of April is a plus.
• Candidate will be responsible for heavy scheduling, booking travel, errands, household management, and various administrative needs.
• The job consists of 50% personal tasks and 50% administrative/project-related tasks.
Potential For Growth
• Moving forward, candidate will increasingly be given production-related duties.
• There is potential for this role to become a dual assistant / associate producer position as it has been in the past.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Manage busy calendars for filmmakers.
• Possess excellent follow-through skills (status reports and confirmation of tasks completed).
• Book all travel (for filmmakers and their family).
• Maintain consistent communication with additional producers and film staff.
• Coordinate and complete personal and household errands and logistics.
• Maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents.
• Run errands, including making timely purchases/returns.
• Handle other miscellaneous personal tasks.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum two years personal assistant experience.
• Professional manner; able to interact with high level executives and handle confidential and sensitive personal/professional matters.
• Highly organized, skilled in creating systems and using systems already in place.
• Self-starter and ability to use common sense.
• A clear sense of urgency and ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Team player with a sense of humor and a positive attitude.
• Excellent computer and technology skills for troubleshooting - must be extremely proficient in all Apple/Mac products, followed by Windows, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint. Use of iOS devices over Android is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written - with a professional phone manner.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines under pressure, make decisions and change course of action quickly and anticipate needs.
• Maintain honest and transparent communication with the filmmakers and executive assistant.
Eligibility Requirements:
• College degree
• Must have car
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Compensation:
• $1200/week
• PTO and sick pay (both accrued over time) included
• Health benefits not included.
Salary/Benefits
$1,200.00 - 1,200.00 per week
