Entertainment/Celebrity Public Relations Agency Job Description:
We are seeking a smart, savvy, outgoing, and energetic assistant to join our fast-paced, exciting, and successful team of publicists. This is an amazing opportunity to work as an ASSISTANT at a mid-size PR company, located in the heart of West Hollywood.
Ideal Candidate:
• Must love pop culture, film, TV, and all aspects of the world of entertainment, lifestyle, and branding.
• Should be enthusiastic and hard-working, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a self-starter, organized, and able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Strong communication and writing skills are a must.
• MUST have AT LEAST 6 months experience in some aspect of Entertainment (PR, agency, studio, or management). Internships acceptable if have 6 months consecutive.
• Must be extremely organized, love a busy environment, be team-oriented and be a real ''people person!!''
• Must truly desire a career in publicity and love working with actors and personalities.
Position Details:
• ENTRY LEVEL position salary with full health benefits after 3 months.
• HUGE room for growth after a dedicated year.
• This position is for someone extremely focused, dedicated, and ready to embark on a real career.
Duties include:
• Maintain and organize Talent Exec's meetings and schedule.
• Communicate daily via extensive phone and email contact with Talent Exec.
• Draft and update client bios, pitch letters, and digital press kits.
• Track media coverage and service press clippings to client teams.
• Process client requests in a timely manner.
• Ongoing maintenance and updating of industry contacts and media lists.
• Coordinate details for client photo shoots, press junkets, premieres, interviews, and appearances, including travel and glam.
• Create and maintain client schedules (in coordination with counterparts and team members).
• Possess excellent writing and proofreading skills.
• Be available to Cover events (nights weekends) red carpets, interviews, photo shoots, parties etc. **once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
Technical Skills:
• Computer skills a MUST!
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Social Media skills necessary and knowledge of Cision a BONUS.
Additional Requirements:
• MUST have a working laptop and cell phone with Wi-Fi.
• MUST be available to work full-time from 9:30 am-6:30 pm PST as well as nights and weekends for coverage as needed.
• Must also be willing to work outside office hours to complete assigned tasks, as necessary.
