Digital Music Marketing/Digital Account Director/Sr. Director
Salary range: $60k-90k
About the job:
Established independent record label seeking New York based Digital Account Director or Sr. Director. Candidate has prior experience working with DSPs and has established strong relationships. Ability to grow in all emerging areas of digital media and social platforms. Traditional marketing experience is a plus. Candidate will work with all US based DSP partners.
Responsibilities include:
• Weekly pitching (strategy) to North America DSPs. Work in tandem with our distribution partner on priorities, and in collaboration with our global digital team
• Enhance and refine pitching processes for maximized artist exposure
• Work collaboratively as a team to identify priorities within digital/marketing departments, to help expand exposure and reach for our artists. Initiate and implement campaign priorities with DSP partners
• Track success and provide comprehensive campaign recaps blending analytics and marketing insights
• Initiate partnership campaigns with DSPs and cultivate strong relationships to maximize artist reach and exposure
• Participate in weekly calls and meetings
• Send internal and external weekly updates on new DSP playlisting
• Share best practices and developments with internal and external teams
• Create and distribute internal weekly marketing reports, along with reports to respective partners
• Work in tandem with all internal departments, including radio, press, marketing, sales, touring and social media
• Oversee and execute North America digital sales budgets and implement long-term strategy for continued growth
• Devise and implement online marketing strategies, along with accommodating traditional marketing goals and agendas
• Interact with our digital distributor for all marketing and sales initiatives, including implementation, and uploading metadata
• Attend shows and concerts and develop and maintain business relationships, with artists, managers, agents, and external partners
Person we are seeking:
• At least 7 years experience with music partnership management
• Must be a team player, open-minded, nimble and work collaboratively
• Knowledge of music streaming platforms and digital accounts
• Proficiency with social media platforms, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitch, Discord, Reddit, X (Twitter) along with emerging trends
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills
• Ability to flush out collaborative ideas and creative solutions and can execute them through to completion
• Understanding and maintaining good relationships with artists, managers, booking agents, internal and external colleagues, and can handle the demands of balancing all tasks and personalities
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Background in traditional marketing a plus
• Knowledge of Google analytics, consumption tracking systems
