Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and creative Hair and Makeup Stylist to join our team for an upcoming feature film. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your skills and work with a dedicated team of filmmakers. The position is unpaid, but we offer deferred payment and a percentage of sales from the film.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the director and production team to design and create hair and makeup looks that align with the film's vision
Apply makeup and style hair for actors according to character requirements
Ensure continuity and consistency of hair and makeup throughout the shoot
Manage hair and makeup budget and maintain records of all products and tools used
Assist actors with touch-ups and changes on set
Address any hair and makeup-related issues that arise during filming
Requirements:
Some experience as a hair and makeup stylist or similar role in film, theater, or television
Strong portfolio showcasing your hair and makeup skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing requirements
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Passion for film and a creative mindset
