Job Title: Head of FAST Channels, Distribution & Licensing
Location: Brentwood (In-office/Hybrid Preferred; Remote Possible)
Time: Open to full-time, part-time or long-term consultant
Reports To: CEO

Our flagship FAST channel celebrates extreme sports, adventure, and active lifestyle programming. We're now searching for a visionary leader to help grow this channel and spearhead future ventures in the FAST channel and licensing arena.
Role Overview
The Head of FAST Channels, Distribution & Licensing will take ownership of the operations, growth, and marketing of our channel, as well as spearhead partnerships to acquire and distribute content for future FAST channels. This role also encompasses deal-making and relationship-building in the content licensing space, driving both creative and business development initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced executive to run their own business unit within a dynamic startup environment, collaborating with and supported by our scripted and unscripted programming teams.
Key Responsibilities
FAST Channel Operations:
- Oversee the daily operations and performance of our existing FAST channel, focusing on audience growth, revenue generation, and content programming.
- Develop and execute strategies to expand the channel's presence across FAST platforms.
Content Licensing & Acquisition:
- Build and maintain relationships with content creators, distributors, and studios to acquire premium programming.
- Negotiate and finalize content licensing agreements to enrich our offerings and drive revenue.
Business Development & Partnerships:
- Forge and manage relationships with FAST platform operators, technology providers, and distribution partners to maximize channel reach and performance.
- Evaluate and execute opportunities for launching new FAST channels in complementary genres.
Leadership & Strategy:
- Define and implement a strategic vision for FAST channel growth and content licensing, aligned with our company's goals.
- Represent the company in industry forums, events, and negotiations to establish our company as a leader in the FAST space.
- Build and lead a high-performing team to support operational and licensing initiatives as the business grows.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, with significant expertise in FAST channel operations and/or content licensing.
- Proven ability to scale FAST channels or similar digital media platforms.
- Track record of success in negotiating and closing complex content licensing deals.
Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of the FAST channel ecosystem, ad-supported monetization, and current market trends.
- Expertise in content acquisition, rights management, and partnership agreements.
Leadership & Communication:
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive results in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing key stakeholders and fostering trust.
Analytical & Entrepreneurial Mindset:
- Data-driven decision-making skills with a focus on optimizing channel performance and content ROI.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a hunger to innovate and build within a startup environment.
Preferred:
- Established network with FAST platforms, distributors, and content providers.

Compensation
Competitive with industry standard. Compensation and salary will depend on candidate's preference for full-time, part-time or long-term consulting arrangement.
