Position: Marketing Coordinator/Social Media Manager
Job Type: Contract Position, Immediate Start - 11/8/24
Compensation: High Competitive
The Marketing Coordinator/Social media manager will join a team of Creative Directors, art directors and video editors to promote one of 2024's most buzzy film releases as well as build out a magazine-style social media presence for a new media company. The brand and voice of the company is bold, edgy and provocative. They will collaborate with production, distribution, talent and external partners to ensure the film's successful launch across various platforms, media outlets, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management: Manage the company and film's social media presence, including content creation, scheduling, community engagement, and analytics across platforms like Instagram, X, Facebook and Reddit.
Public Relations: Support PR teams with assets that have been created and approved
Sponsorship Placement and Talent Relations: Secure and manage relationships with creators across platforms and seed original content.
Content Creation: Work alongside our designers, videographers, and editors to create organize materials including teasers, promo video assets, key art, behind-the-scenes content, and digital ads.
Influencer Marketing: Identify and collaborate with influencers and industry insiders to boost film awareness and audience engagement.
Outdoor/Guerilla Marketing: Support our head of marketing and creative director with project management of other marketing initiatives including event activations and partnerships.
Market Research: Analyze audience demographics, trends, and industry data to inform marketing decisions and optimize outreach efforts.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience in music or film marketing or entertainment industry marketing
• Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, SEO, and content management.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with analytics tools to measure campaign performance.
• Creative mindset with an eye for detail and storytelling.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in working with magazine publishers, media companies, record labels or film distribution
• Understanding of film industry trends, audience behavior, and film festivals.
