e are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and dedicated Music Management Assistant to support an emerging recording artist, as he embarks on both domestic and international tours. This role requires someone with exceptional multitasking skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate will be based in Los Angeles and must be available to travel during both North American and international tours. (Touring would be approximately 3-4 months per year.) The Music Management Assistant will be responsible for a combination of personal assistance, logistical coordination, scheduling, and tour-related duties to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow for both the artist and his senior management team. The candidate will play a key role in keeping the artist on schedule, ensuring his needs are met while on the road, and supporting tour operations, including fan engagement, merchandise sales, and hospitality logistics.
Duties & Responsibilities
Personal & Daily Support to Artist:
Provide day-to-day personal assistance to the artist, including getting coffee, running errands, handling personal requests, and ensuring his comfort while on the road.
Maintain and manage the artist's daily schedule and ensure he arrives at commitments, interviews, and performances on time.
Assist in coordinating wardrobe, styling, and dressing room setup before performances and appearances.
Handle meal coordination based on the artist's dietary preferences and schedule.
Serve as a point of contact for the artist's needs and relay important information to management.
Tour & Travel Logistics:
Accompany the artist on tour and ensure all travel logistics are seamlessly executed.
Coordinate transportation, hotels, and accommodations for the artist and necessary team members.
Oversee packing, unpacking, and organization of personal and tour-related belongings (including wardrobe, performance outfits, and personal items).
Assist in managing VIP and backstage guest lists / meet & greets at each venue.
Handle on-the-ground problem-solving in case of last-minute travel or logistical issues.
Event & Show Day Responsibilities:
Ensure the artist arrives on time for soundchecks, rehearsals, press interviews, and performances.
Coordinate meet-and-greets with fans, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to schedules.
Oversee and assist with merchandise sales at shows, coordinating inventory and transactions.
Liaise with tour staff, venue representatives, and security teams to ensure smooth artist movement.
Support with press and media obligations.
Administrative & Managerial Assistance:
Assist the Senior Manager/Management Team(s) with emails, scheduling, calendar management, and correspondence.
Maintain an updated itinerary and distribute as needed
Organize and manage guest lists, press lists, and industry contact lists for events and shows.
Help with booking studio sessions, interviews, and industry meetings when off-tour.
Track receipts and expenses for artist-related travel, wardrobe, and personal purchases.
General Support & Problem Solving:
Be prepared to think on your feet and handle unexpected issues as they arise.
Maintain discretion and professionalism when working closely with the artist and his team.
Ensure the artist's well-being and mental health are prioritized by helping to create a stress-free, well-managed environment.
Act as a liaison between the artist, management, crew, and external partners.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be based in Los Angeles, CA and available to travel several months of the year.
Previous experience in music management, artist relations, touring, or personal assisting is preferred.
Must have a valid passport and be available for both domestic and international travel.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in high-pressure environments.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work long hours, late nights, and weekends as needed.
Must be comfortable handling confidential information and maintaining discretion.
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
A deep passion for the music industry, artist development, and live events.
Experience with Google Suite, calendar management, email organization, and travel coordination.
Valid driver's license and ability to drive if needed.
Tour Schedule & Commitment
First Tour: March 17 - April 20 (Domestic US + Canada)
Second Tour: April 24 - June 23 (International: Starting in Dublin, ending in Paris)
Must be available to begin onboarding one week prior (March 10, 2025) or sooner
Salary/Benefits
$45,000.00
- 55,000.00
per year
Travel and accommodations and per diems covered while on tour
Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the music industry and work closely with an emerging artist
