This is a Full Time Job
This is a hybrid role with 3 days required in our Burbank, CA office. This role is responsible for preparing the bi-weekly payroll and ensuring that all payroll deductions are processed properly and helps troubleshoot any employee questions on W-2 and other payroll tax questions. This role will also be responsible for US benefits administration, including LOA management, enrollments and invoicing. This role will report to the VP of People and Culture and will be collaborating with finance and HR.
Job Responsibilities:
• Administering payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees in USA in ADP
• Record the related payroll entries in Netsuite
• Ensure the accurate processing of garnishments which include child support, tax levies, student loans, WRIT of garnishments, etc.
• Book Payroll entries to the general ledger
• Make certain that the employee benefit deductions are set up correctly in ADP
• Validate payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security and unemployment payments
• Ensure that reports compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability and nontaxable wages are accurate
• Research, analyze and resolve payroll-related problems or questions
• Assist with administration of all benefit activities for employees and clients, including open enrollment, employee changes, and activities related to new hires, life changes and termination; Manage the same for our client benefit offering.
• Coordinate leaves of absence internally and collaborate with third-party administrators
• Manage enrollments for our client-side ACA-benefit offerings
• Other duties as assigned
Hire-In Requirements:
• Associate's degree or equivalent
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to benefit administration (e.g., ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc).
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with ADP in a multi-state environment
• Working knowledge of state taxes and local in the USA
• Experience in performing retro calculations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
• Strong ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent eye for detail in addition to analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
