Production & Research Assistant

We are seeking a part-time Production & Research Assistant to support the development of an upcoming feature film about a Black music icon. This role involves hands-on research and in-person interviews in and around Macon, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct historical and cultural research specific to Macon and surrounding areas
Help identify and schedule interviews with local sources (e.g., historians, community members)
Accompany the lead producer on research trips and assist during in-person interviews
Take detailed notes, organize research materials, and manage documentation
Provide general support on film development tasks as needed

Requirements:
Must live within 2 hours of Macon, GA (preferably in the Atlanta metro area)
Must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving (transportation can be provided)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Interest in Black history, queer history, or film is a plus
Prior research or production experience preferred but not required
