Public Relations (Hip Hop), Consultant

Publicist needed for emerging new hip hop artist with own label and distribution deal w/Universal. Artist has new EP with A- List features being released in 30 days and is in need of someone experienced who can join the team and hit the ground running. Representation will be needed through out the year but looking to hire initially on a consultant/exclusive project basis to start. There is also the possibility of working with other artists signed to the label.

MUST have 5+ plus experience in the music industry w/STRONG MEDIA CONTACTS (this is a MUST).

Should be a highly motivated, self starting multitasker with exceptional writing, research and interpersonal skills. should be insanely organized, have impeccable work ethic and be a team player with a strong knowledge of the hip hop culture.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years' experience in public relations working in music (hip hop) specifically
• Flexible schedule - must be available M-F as well and nights/weekends/holidays as needed (common)
• Should bring positive energy and creative ideas to this fun, hard working team
• Must be able to take direction, multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be a team player.
• Impeccable follow up skills
• Must be comfortable taking initiative, be solution-oriented and have attention to detail- Must be able to develop and execute both short-term and long-term campaign strategies- Social media strategy and rollout experience
