
Junior Publicist

We are seeking a Los Angeles area-based, motivated and detail-oriented Junior Publicist for our entertainment PR division CONSCIOUS HOLLYWOOD at Conscious Living PR. This position will be directly reporting to the President of the agency, Mona Loring. Please read the qualifications below carefully.
Candidates may also work in the lifestyle department at times, and must be able to handle working under two divisions simultaneously. Multitasking and prioritizing well is crucial for this position. This is a work from home position, but will require in-person support potentially numerous times per week and on weekends as a part of the position will be providing backup coverage at PR events, press appointments and photo shoots in LA and surrounding areas. This position has room to grow for the right candidate as we're looking to expand the team.
Specific job responsibilities:
-Monitor online and print publications for client coverage
-Administrative support
-Draft memos for client offers and email updates
-Compile targeted press lists for pitching and outreach
-Cover clients at press activities including phone interviews, panels, virtual junkets, and premieres
-Create and update digital press kits and client bios
-Create and post on social media for the company's various platforms and organize social media calendars
-Support in booking client hair/makeup/styling
• Maintain and organize press clippings
• Creation of press materials
• Pitching support
• Research and update media lists
• Track pitching in spreadsheets
Qualification points:
-Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be well-organized and able to work daily with multiple forms of communication (Slack, phone, Zoom, etc.) maintain the highest level of confidentiality, while having an ability to keep up with a fast-paced team, remaining composed and with a positive demeanor in high-pressure environments and scenarios.
-Must be able to multi-task under deadlines and have a strong problem-solving ability (This is not an easy position and the supervisors will require someone who can handle many tasks sometimes coming in at one time.)
-PR is not an easy job and we're seeking someone who isn't afraid of hard work and giving 110% of their effort
-Professional appearance, motivated, resourceful, able to work independently and as part of a team remotely and in person onsite with clients
-A creative multi-tasker who can meet deadlines, communicate their concerns to overcome challenges and manage several projects simultaneously under and with various team members
-Attention to detail keeping this candidate ahead to ensure that no details are missed
Requirements:
• Four year college degree
• Must live in the Los Angeles area, (within 10 miles of Hollywood radius), and be able to work onsite when needed at any time & available to do so on a daily basis
• Prior work experience of two years in entertainment PR that can translate into what we're seeking in this position
-Experience on red carpets and covering talent
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 9 am- 6 pm pacific time plus coverage and additional support as needed on nights and weekends (even holidays, although rare).
Salary info:
Hourly pay, DOE (assistant and/or PR industry experience is a plus and will be considered for higher starting pay), we also offer a reasonable work from home allowance to pay towards your cell phone, internet and computer usage on the job.

Sick pay (PTO) and health and dental insurance as well as paid vacation time after one year.
