Conscious Hollywood, the LA-based talent department within Conscious Living PR, is seeking a dedicated publicist to support PR campaigns for entertainment-focused clientele. We're looking for someone eager to learn and grow in entertainment publicity, with a strong passion for pop culture and the drive to support the agency's owner in managing her roster while executing PR campaigns. This role offers an opportunity for hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ideal for someone enthusiastic about building a career in entertainment PR. There is much room for growth. The candidate should be experienced, resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to excel both independently and within a team.
Requirements include a four-year college degree, a minimum of three years in entertainment public relations, specifically talent/personal PR, and experience in remote work while also being available for required in-person workdays throughout the LA area.
Responsibilities and qualifications for the candidate include:
Manage day-to-day activities for client accounts effectively and independently
Self-motivated and resourceful, able to take initiative
Minimum of 3 years of experience in PR with a focus on talent relations
Familiarity with key press contacts at media publications
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Skilled in identifying and developing effective pitch angles, creating press materials, and securing media placements
Excellent writing and research skills
Collaborative team player with strong verbal and written communication abilities
Exercises excellent judgment with media, team members, clients, and representatives, maintaining confidentiality and discretion
Professional presence and demeanor with both clients and team
Highly organized, able to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Open to learning and receptive to feedback
Thrives in a fast-paced, busy environment with a positive attitude
Proficient in PR software and applications (Gmail, Asana, Google Docs, Word, Excel, Slack, Instagram, etc.)
Flexible with hours, including availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed
Skilled in itinerary building and precise scheduling
Aligns with and supports the broader initiatives and values of Conscious Living PR
Creates and edits PR materials such as pitches, press releases, and media alerts
Maintains detailed notes and communicates effectively with the team, prioritizing and relaying essential information accurately
Willingness to mentor assistants and interns
REQUIRED: Candidates must reside in the Los Angeles area. Availability to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
Pay DOE. Wide range. Overtime, signing bonuses and commission offered.
