CAA Sports, a division of Creative Artists Agency, is seeking a highly motivated accounting professional with a combination of technical and operational accounting skills to strengthen the accounting team. Based in Los Angeles, this position will be focused on the day-to-day operations of CAA Sports Trust department and will be responsible for the oversight of invoicing, collections, general accounting reconciliation and bank account functions. This position will play an important role in the development of the CAA Sports Trust team and providing accurate, timely accounting information to company executives to comply with financial reporting requirements and assist in company decision-making. Responsibilities
•Oversee the day-to-day operations of the CAA Sports Trust department, including the management and development of the CAA Sports Trust team.
•Complete various reporting and analysis of commission transactions and cash collections
•Maintain financial schedules and ledgers in compliance with company policies and procedures
•Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures
•Assist with the completion of account reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet accounts
•Assist in the development and improvement of accounting processes
•Support the completion of financial statement audits
•Support new business initiatives by identifying key accounting requirements and assisting with the implementation of financial controls and processes within the existing business
Requirements:
•7+ years of progressive accounting and management experience
•Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
•Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, complex projects and meet deadlines
•A strong understanding of financial concepts, such as accruals, deferred revenue, and inventory costing
•Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
•Experience managing processes and projects that involve collaborating with teams across the organization.
•Advanced Excel capabilities
•Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team, including the coaching and development of direct reports.
