Position Summary
The Vault Technician is responsible for shipping and receiving and inventory management. This includes organizing the storage of assets, pulling them as needed for production work, and shipping them offsite once work is completed. This role will work at both the Hollywood, CA and Burbank, CA offices. Schedule will be M-F, 8am to 5:30pm.
Main Duties
• Disc burning (DVD Data/CD's, DVD screeners, Blu-Ray Pin-Play)
• Inventory management is a key duty (re-vaulting and cycle counting).
• Report elements are sent to all relevant departments via email.
• Receive incoming elements in all formats and bar codes and enter the element information into various systems, ensuring all information is exact and correct and the element is correctly bar coded.
• Stage elements to requested rooms in the facility via a staging list completed by project managers, then return elements to the vault when work is completed, as requested by account managers.
• As requested by account managers, return elements to clients via the dispatch module.
• Ensure that all shipments are accurate, secure, and correct before shipping occurs.
• Label newly created media as requested by the client and the account managers, ensuring the information on the labeling request is accurate.
• Basic ''Data Wrangler'' skills. Upload of client files sent via a secure connection.
• Ingest files from various disc sources and transfer to secure locations.
• Assist our clients in research identifying and locating assets in need for future projects.
• Help maintain a Quantum library system, loading and ejecting LTO tapes.
• Monitor and update the shipping schedule as needed.
• Schedule outside couriers as needed to deliver elements and/or media to clients.
• Ship items via FedEx or UPS as requested.
• Work in both Hollywood, CA and Burbank, CA offices.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Must have 6 mos. – 2 years of experience in A/V post-production environment.
• Education and/or experience in video post-production are required.
• Familiarity with video frame rates (PAL, NTSC NDF, and NTSC DF) is required.
• Familiarity with MAC and Windows operating systems is required.
• Familiarity with various types of digital assets (i.e., ProRes, Mezzanine) is required.
• Familiarity with the different types of tape-based media (i.e., DBC, HDCAMSR) a plus.
• Must have demonstrated ability to multi-task.
• Must have a professional attitude and the ability to work cooperatively with co-workers.
• Strong organization, communication (verbal and written), and computer skills.
• Superior attention to detail and must be very patient.
• Customer service experience a plus.
• Must be able to lift at least fifty (50) pounds in weight unaided.
• Must be familiar with Google Docs and Word and a basic understanding of Excel spreadsheets.
• Must be able to take and follow directions from department supervisor.

This role is based in Los Angeles, California and the base pay range for this role is $20.60 - $21.42 per hour. Actual amounts will vary depending on education, skills, experience, and geographic location.
