Position Title: Motor City Cruise - Social Media Coordinator
Department: Marketing – Brand & Marketing Strategy
Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Reports to: Director, Social Media
As the Social Media Coordinator for Motor City Cruise, you will be responsible for developing print and digital projects and managing content strategy for social media channels. Your focus will be on creating engaging content for game nights and lifestyle interests, building social followings, and driving engagement.
Responsibilities:
• Develop print and digital materials (ads, billboards, web graphics, sponsorship presentations)
• Handle prepress setup and print production operations
• Script and create social media posts to drive engagement and conversation
• Capture behind-the-scenes content for real-time social media updates
• Manage in-game social media updates from pregame to postgame
• Implement social media promotions and partnership content
• Analyze social media metrics and provide reporting
• Monitor social channels, engage with followers, and conduct competitive analysis
• Identify trends and new technologies for social media
• Collaborate with creative services to develop game day assets (e.g., tune-in, starting five)
• Oversee community management and implement sponsorship deliverables across social platforms
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and content planning with the video and creative teams
Qualifications:
• Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or equivalent work experience
• 1-3 years of experience in a social media or design role
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, HTML, and website management technologies
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
