As a Social Media Coordinator, you will be a part of a fast paced, growing social media team responsible for ideating, creating, and publishing social media content for the Detroit Pistons, Motor City Cruise, and Pistons GT teams. The social team sits within the Brand Marketing department with visibility and collaboration across the entire organization.

What you'll be doing
• Ideate, create, and execute on social media campaigns related to the brand or sponsorships
• Assist in home and road game night coverage for the Motor City Cruise, Pistons GT, and Detroit Pistons to enhance the game experience on social media platforms
• Curate social media content using storylines based on the teams, city/community, and players
• Assist with social metrics/reporting through native platforms and third-party platforms like Sprout Social
• Monitor social channels and have relevant & meaningful conversations with followers
• Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of the social space including other G League and NBA2K teams
• Participate in social/content brainstorming sessions content planning for brand development
What we're looking for
• 1-3 years of experience in a social, content, and/or communications role is valued, including internship experience
• Candidate should possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Candidate should have a sense of urgency and be a self-starter
• Passion for trends and discovering new technologies that can help grow our brands.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sprout (or publishing platforms), Asana (or project management systems), and/or design products (e.g. Adobe, Slate) is valued
• Experience publishing content on social media platforms: Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube
• Must be capable of multi-tasking while still maintaining a high level of integrity and creativity
