This is a Part Time Paid Internship
Overview
The Team:
Media Relations is responsible for creating and implementing strategic and multifaceted public relations campaign for all HBO/HBO Max and Cinemax original programming. The department develops and helps shape the narrative for each project and executes a comprehensive media outreach which includes print, online, TV and radio. Media Relations is also responsible for producing numerous events throughout the year, among them are red carpet premieres, tastemaker screenings, the semi-annual Television Critics Association Press Tours, HFPA press conferences, Comic-Con, SXSW and press junkets to launch our programming. Our intern will assist the media relations team with day to day publicity tasks for HBO/HBO Max programming.
Responsibilities
The Daily:
• Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
• Must be a rising Junioror Senior student (18 years or older)
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
• Research new contacts, editorial deadlines and update contact and festival databases.
• Research and development of targeted press lists.
• Help with generating final coverage reports.
The Essentials:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) which includes basic industry phone etiquette.
• Experience with office tools such as Google Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Social Media applications, mobile and streaming devices
• Must be proactive, resourceful, and agile within a remote setting.
• Familiarity with HBO/HBO Max programming and media outlets.
About the Internship Program:
• Our Spring 2023 program is a 12 Week Internship that will run from Monday, February 6th through Friday, April 28th, 2023
• Part time-schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program
• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive salary. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.

Interviewing will take place from September through early December. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation for roles that will be performed in New York City. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD.
Qualifications
