The Job:
• Warner Bros Discovery Sports Insights supports a variety of stakeholders including programming, PR, marketing, product, and sales by analyzing data from industry-leading sources, discovering key insights, & storytelling to better understand our audiences and showcase the strength of the Turner Sports portfolio within a highly competitive media marketplace.
• Representing the industry’s most diverse and high-profile collection of sports media rights, the Turner Sports portfolio features NCAA March Madness, NBA on TNT, MLB on TBS, NHL on TNT, Bleacher Report, and more!
• Assist team on a variety of projects specific to our NHL, US Soccer, and The Match brands, as well as the Sports portfolio more broadly.
Responsibilities
The Daily Responsibilities:
• Learn & utilize industry-leading media research tools to find, analyze data, and discover key insights.
• Research future trends that impact Turner Sports’ business opportunities & the Sports/Media industry at large.
• Assist team on a variety of projects specific to our NHL, US Soccer, and The Match brands, as well as the Sports portfolio more broadly.
The Essentials:
• Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
• Must be a rising Junior or Senior student (18 years or older)
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
• Positive attitude & a willingness to learn
• MS Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Interest in sports a plus.
• Experience with statistical analysis a plus.
• Familiarity/experience with internal analytics platforms (Adobe Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics) and syndicated research sources (comScore Media Metrix, Nielsen @Plan, NetRatings, AdIntel, AdRelevance, Plan Metrix, MRI, NPOWER, STAR) a plus.
About the Internship Program:
• Our Spring 2023 program is a 12 Week Internship that will run from Monday, February 6th through Friday, April 28th, 2023
• Part time-schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program
• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive salary. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.

• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
Interviewing will take place from September through early December. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation for roles that will be performed in New York City. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD.
Qualifications
