Job Summary:
Production & Development Assistant to support a Senior Executive Producer at ABC News.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support including phone coverage, organizing meetings, travel & expenses, and calendar management
• Meet and greet guests
• Assist in development process for original nonfiction content; Track pitches, do research, generate ideas, and assist in creating sales presentations
• Assist show producers with show segments and guests
• Assist with production management and show offices
• Arrange for tickets to tapings for studio guests
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum internship experience working in television production, or at a talent agency, or management firm
• Passion for and knowledge of Entertainment/Pop Culture (Film, TV, Music and the Internet), Politics and News
• Familiarity with the entertainment industry and working directly with talent, producers, and talent reps
• Must have an ability to multitask and manage and prioritize a heavy workload with a ''can do'' attitude
• Ability to be discreet and maintain confidential information
• Strong interest in live broadcast television
• Proficient at Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Photoshop/basic editing a plus
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
