Disney CreativeWorks Studio, a full-service branded content studio and creative agency, is responsible for the creative strategy and production of custom branded entertainment and sponsored content solutions across all Disney Entertainment platforms and channels, including Hulu, ABC, Freeform, FX, Nat Geo, Disney Channels, and Disney+.
Disney CreativeWorks is seeking a Senior Manager, Design and Motion Graphics, to lead and create multi-platform design and motion graphics for revenue-generating creative campaigns across Disney Entertainment IP and brands. The Senior Manager will inspire and create great design, manage design solutions from both staff and vendors, and ensure continuity and quality control across all deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CreativeWorks team of creative directors, writers, producers, and project managers to concept and create design and motion graphic solutions for client campaigns. This includes understanding high-level campaign strategy, specific brand guardrails, and fluency across distribution platforms/channels.
- Direct and manage other designers and motion graphics artists, ensuring their work meets best-in-class creative goals, schedules, budgets, and client objectives.
- Develop, lead, and/or manage the creation of support materials such as presentation decks, pitch decks, sizzle graphics, and various creative services design assets.
- Effectively manage design workflow, project schedules, and delivery specs.
- Work with Disney Entertainment Television Marketing and other stakeholders to understand brand guidelines, priorities, and other creative considerations, as well as the portfolio of ad product offerings of Disney’s streaming platforms.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in motion graphics and design video content.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in creative team management.
- Proficient in Mac, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Keynote.
- Advanced skills in design and animation software/technologies.
- Experience with Maya, Cinema 4D, and Houdini is strongly preferred.
- Experience in streaming media, film/video production, and visual effects is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to effectively communicate, direct, and lead in-house designers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under tight time constraints in a high-pressure, multi-stakeholder environment.
Preferred Education:
- Degree in design, animation, art, or film/TV.
Compensation:
The hiring range for this position in California is $135,000 to $181,000 per year. The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
