Manager, Finance (Ad Sales Consolidation)

Job Summary:
About the Role & Team:
The Walt Disney Company is comprised of three media segments including ESPN Sports, Entertainment Networks, and Direct to Consumer Streaming. These segments house all global advertising sales and ad technology for all Disney media properties. This centralization of ad sales provides advertisers a one-stop-shop for reaching diverse audiences across all of Disney's media properties, including its online and direct-to-consumer platforms.
The Finance Ad Sales team is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the consolidation of global Advertising Revenue across key business cycles: annual budget, long-range plan, quarterly forecasts and quarter close. This position will partner with finance leaders across linear Ratings Based as well as Addressable Advertising Revenue to provide strategic and financial support for key presentations and Investor Relation earnings. He/she will also lead and/or support ad hoc Advertising Revenue projects and initiatives.
By providing management with high-quality, thoughtful insights, the manager plays an integral role in supporting the short term and long-term financial success of Advertising Revenue planning. The individual must be an excellent communicator and be comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
What You Will Do:
• Manage the consolidation of quarter end reporting, forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans, including financial modeling and deck preparation
• Manage the forecast process by creating timelines, crafting deliverable requirements, and preparing cross team communications
• Prepare presentations and ad hoc analyses for senior management
• Drive efficiency through process improvements, including processes that require constant updates, revisions and creation of financial models and templates
• Lead and/or support key ad hoc projects
• Build effective partnerships with finance, controllership, and other teams across the organization to facilitate consolidation of data
• Manage a Financial Analyst
• Develop and manage professional staff, sets organizational priorities
Required Qualifications & Skills
• At least 5 years of experience in a corporate finance / business analytics role
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to craft high level financial drivers into a broader summary for different levels of management
• Advanced Excel & PowerPoint proficiency
• Acute attention to detail and accuracy with an aptitude for troubleshooting data discrepancies
• Excellent written and oral communication skills across all levels and audiences (both verbally and in written/visual materials)
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and achieve results through partnerships at all levels
• Expertly manage internal and external business requests while adapting to shifting priorities and navigate ambiguity
• Strong initiative to complete tasks quickly and accurately, coupled with excellent planning and organizational skills to drive projects to completion
• Supervisory skills to manage staff, including delegation and prioritization of work, training and evaluation
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in a quantitative field preferred
• Prior experience successfully leading a junior level finance employee
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Science/Engineering, Accounting, Economics or related/quantitative field of study

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $130,700 to $159,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

$130,700.00 - 159,700.00 per year
