Hulu Subscriber Planning is a highly visible team of professionals with backgrounds in consulting, investment banking, private equity, media & entertainment, and technology who serve as in-house advisers to the Direct-to-Consumer's executive leadership and own subscriber planning and reporting for Hulu's SVOD and Live businesses. The team's activities and accomplishments have contributed to the rapid growth and success of the Direct-to-Consumer business.
Job Summary:
Hulu's Subscriber Planning team is seeking a strong candidate who will be an exceptional addition to our team of strategic finance professionals. In this role, you will play a key part in Hulu's subscriber growth by providing strategic support and financial analysis to our business stakeholders and executive leadership. You will own strategic and long-range planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for Hulu's SVOD and Live subscription businesses. You will lead ad hoc analyses and deliver presentations that will inform decisions around subscriber growth and retention. In addition, you will own reporting of Hulu subscription KPIs and deliver business insights to influence key operational decisions. You will work cross-functionally with key partners in Data Analytics, Marketing, Strategy, Finance, and more. As a result, you will be the lead day-to-day finance partner for all things related to Hulu's subscribers.

The pace and cadence for change at Direct-to-Consumer necessitates an ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and roll up sleeves to support this important segment of the business.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
• Lead the strategic long-range plan, annual operating plan, and forecasting processes for Hulu's subscription business. As part of this process, you will work closely with key partners within Marketing, Data Analytics, Strategy, and Finance teams to present a holistic plan for our business.
• Work cross-functionally with key partners in Content, Marketing, Analytics, and Strategy to develop business insights that uncover subscriber growth levers and opportunities to improve customer lifetime value.
• Lead ad hoc analyses and deliver presentations that drive financial and strategic decisions around subscriber growth and retention.
• Maintain a strong understanding of operating performance (e.g. KPIs, subscribers), major deals and transactions, issues and challenges facing the businesses, and relevant trends in the streaming business.
• Develop impactful, compelling presentation materials (decks, notes, write-ups, backup materials, etc.) that effectively communicate subscriber projections, drivers, business performance, and risks & opportunities, and present to leadership.
• Lead and develop one Senior Financial Analyst
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training
• 4+ years of finance or strategy experience and proven track record with a top tier tech or media & entertainment firm, management consultancy or investment bank / private equity firm
• Experience in building and leading successful teams
• Bachelor's degree from a top-tier school with a major in Finance, Economics or similar discipline with an analytical bias; MBA from a top graduate business school (or equivalent experience) is a plus
• Expertise in building highly complex financial models (Excel)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including PowerPoint) and ability to simplify complex matters for an executive audience
• Highly competent with quantitative data analysis and utilizing data to drive decision-making
• Organized, self-motivated and comfortable working without guidance, in a fast-growing environment with multiple partners
• Excellent teamwork skills with the capacity to work collaboratively and independently when needed
• Proven ability to adeptly prioritize responsibilities and multi-task to deliver under tight deadlines
• Familiarity with working in or with a global, large organizations is a plus
The hiring range for this position in CA is $123,000.00-$165,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
