Post-Production Systems Administrator

Responsibilities:
• Provide help desk support for our local and remote users.
• General wire management, equipment control and clean-up tasks
• Documentation updates for hardware
• Implementation of hardening process on system deployments
• Updating and installing software such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Cloud, Protools, Etc.
• Setting up SDI Signal paths and resolving issues for various connection setups. We use a combination of technologies such as BlackMagic Video Hub, 4k Mini Monitors, 8k Decklink Cards, and StreamBox Media Encoders. Confirming signal paths are correct for color space, bit depths, and video/full levels.
• Troubleshooting playback issues at the Machine, Network and Server Level

Requirements:
• Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Must have experience specifically in a post production media & entertainment environment. General understanding of video formats (ProRes and image sequences)
• Knowledge of Windows Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPO)
• Operating system: Windows, OSX, Linux
• Experience with ZFS, Network Switches and Firewall is a plus, but not required
• Some level of Help Desk experience
• Willingness to travel as needed to our Burbank office for support.
• Certifications are helpful but not required
