This is a Full Time Job
Electric Entertainment, a full-service film, television, and sales company, is seeking a skilled, proactive Assistant for its Business and Legal Affairs team to provide business affairs and administrative support for three executives. Must have entertainment business affairs experience to be considered.
Duties:
• Assist with tracking clearances, reviewing material and sending out releases
• Draft and issue option exercise notices and other various documents
• Tracking start and end of writers rooms and end of principal photography
• revise/redline/proofreading of agreements for review and polish by attorneys
• Create and maintain legal checklists for all projects in production
• Arranges for execution and distribution of all agreements internally and externally
• Track talent agreements through to full execution
• Assist in preparing WGA Notices of Tentative Writing Credit and correspondence to Guilds and talent representatives
• Draft Paid Ad Statements
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of business affairs experience at a studio, agency, production company or similar law firm experience
• Familiarity with U.S. Copyright Office filings
• Familiarity with UCC system
• FilmTrack experience highly desirable
• Ability to juggle a varied workload
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, great attitude
