Film & Performing Arts Internship

Emerging Pictures distributes indie films and HD broadcasts of opera and ballet from venues across Europe (such as La Scala, The Bolshoi Ballet and the Royal Opera House) to our digital network of movie theatres. Our marketing team is looking for organized and outgoing interns to help in our branding & content efforts.

Duties include (but are not limited to):
• Ensuring our domestic venues are branding our content in a manner that is synonymous with Emerging Pictures/Emerging Cinemas
• Helping in the creation of press kits/collecting press quotes
• Coordinating show times for movie theatres
• Compiling content databases
• Assisting with customer service, such as answering email queries and assisting at live broadcasts in the NYC area
• Answering phones

We are primarily interested in applicants who have knowledge and appreciation for film and/or ballet & opera.
Applicants should be outgoing, comfortable, warm and polite on the telephone and enjoy talking to new people. Ideal candidates would be able to establish rapport very quickly over the telephone. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong online research skills required.

Schedule and duration is flexible. Please indicate your availability in your cover letter.
No pay is provided, but course credit can be arranged for students. For applicants who currently live outside of the New York City area, phone interviews can be arranged. Emerging Pictures' NYC headquarters are located in the Midtown West area of Manhattan.
