Emporium Presents is looking to fill a full time or contract position for a touring promoter rep/production manager. This position will be responsible for overseeing anywhere from 70-90 shows per year. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Once a show is contracted, you will interface with talent buyer to get final overview and budgets for the show. You will then interface with the venue for updated information and then the performer's camp for updated information. Within six to eight weeks of the show, you will then advance all elements of production (sound, lighting, video, catering, hospitality, security, staffing, stagehand labor, etc) between the artist camp and venue staff. This may/will include finding and booking production vendors, caterers, backline vendors, transportation companies, etc. You will manage your budgets against actual expenses. You will travel to the show and be there to take care of any needs that arise on show day from either artist or venue, as well as supervise all areas of production, staffing and customer experience for the ticket buyer. You will make informed decisions based on input from artist, venue and Emporium management. You will communicate all quotes, expenses and details to talent buyer/settlement accountant prior to and on show day to assist in the show settlement. You will provide a wonderful experience to the artists and venues you work with and represent Emporium Presents with respect. In addition, you will be involved in company meetings and strategic planning as it relates to production for other shows or possible shows. You will also assist the Director of Production with other strategic needs or planning including assisting the advance of other shows or overseeing other promoter reps.
THINGS THAT ARE REQUIRED
Ability to remain calm and collected under pressure and make quality decisions in stressful situations. Ability to communicate effectively between multiple entities (promoter to tour manager, promoter to venue manager, promoter to production manager, vendor to production manager). Ability to ask for help from support staff around you, yet autonomously handle tasks once given a framework. Simple accounting skills to track expenses Strong ability to negotiate Decent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Dropbox Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time or more. Ability to work/be on your feet
Things that are a plus but not required: Based in Nashville Basic knowledge of Rigging Basic knowledge of venue staffing
Pay is based on experience and agreed upon structure.
