This is a Full Time Job
We are currently seeking an Associate Paymaster for our Casting Payroll department. This position computes and processes background actors' payments in accordance with contract agreements, client authorizations, EP policies and procedures and state and federal requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Able to calculate, key and edit between 150-200 background actor payment vouchers as authorized by clients and in accordance with the SAG contracts, and state and federal labor law requirements on a daily basis.
· Key and verify payrolls, including address and exemption information. Check and correct edits for live payrolls maintaining the department accuracy goal of 99.5%.
· Release payroll or send edits to clients electronically within 24 hours of receipt, and adjustments within 48 hours of receipt or client approval.
· Establish and maintain good client relationships. For both internal and external clients, respond to phone calls, e-mails and correspondence within 4 hours.
· Create complete and accurate show folders for each production within 3 days of receipt of work order and client number, updating information as needed. Maintain records of payroll information, training notes, updates to the Procedures Manual, etc.
· Embrace and promote EP values such as integrity, relationships, leadership, action, growth, excellence and taking ownership of every situation.
· Deal with telephone and personal inquiries regarding processed payrolls utilizing the Payroll Research Form. Refer inquiries concerning invoicing or rate situations to the management.
· Elevate and discuss with the manager, supervisor or casting directors, either personally or in a huddle, any identified errors and insure that the necessary corrections are made.
· Maintain correspondence with Screen Actors Guild in relation to union members employed through Central Casting.
· Handle special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience or 1 year of industry payroll experience
· High School graduate or equivalent
· Be detail oriented
· Proficient in 10 key
