Media Planner – ESPN Media Planning Team
The Media Planning Team at ESPN is responsible for developing media plans that drive awareness, consumption, subscriptions, and brand affinity across all properties and platforms. As a Media Planner, you will support the holistic media strategy and planning for ESPN Marketing across owned and paid media channels, as well as TWDC networks. This role offers valuable experience in media operations within the fast-paced environment of live sports and content.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Media Planning & Buying leads, contributing to media plans for multiple sports.
• Coordinate campaign logistics, ensuring timely execution.
• Create and maintain key planning documents.
• Communicate across marketing, creative, and external media agencies to manage campaign spec sheets, deliverables, and timelines.
• Assist with the trafficking process to ensure timely launch of media campaigns across ESPN channels and paid media.
• Monitor ongoing campaign performance and assist in strategic analysis.
• Help track and manage the media budget, including processing invoices, managing the accrual process, and creating POs for billing.
• Compile and manage data for dashboards/Excel trackers, ensuring accuracy.
• Stay informed on sports industry trends, ad products, and viewing behaviors to contribute to media plans.
Qualifications:
• 1+ years of experience in integrated media planning (preferably in brand, corporate, agency, or publisher roles) or relevant internship experience in marketing/media entertainment.
• Knowledge of media channels, especially TV/CTV/Social/Digital, for full funnel marketing plans.
• Effective collaborative and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine interest in sports with a desire to impact the fan experience.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient time management and problem-solving skills, with a critical thinking mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:

Compensation:
The salary range for this position in New York, NY is $54,940 to $73,700 per year, depending on skills, experience, and location. Bonus and long-term incentive units may be part of the compensation package. The position also includes a full range of benefits.
