• Salary: $63 to $102 per hour
• Workplace Requirements: Ability to travel and work weekends and holidays as needed
• Education Requirements: High School Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
• Hard Skills Required: Audio mixing consoles, signal flow concepts, intercom systems, troubleshooting audio systems
• Soft Skills Required: Communication, problem-solving, team collaboration

Audio Operator I
Location: Remote
The Audio Operator I will provide audio mixing (A1) and/or audio assist (A2) support for live events, studio productions, and pre-recorded content. In this role, the Audio Operator will be responsible for mixing various audio signals, overseeing the operational aspects of assigned events, and ensuring high-quality audio output during productions.
Responsibilities:
• Mix various audio signals, including microphones, music, sound effects, and natural sound during live or pre-recorded productions
• Oversee the technical aspects of audio operations, including mixing consoles, audio routing, signal flows, and intercom systems
• Ensure the placement of microphones on the field and manage the compound’s audio workflow
• Work with A2s to set up communication systems and troubleshoot audio-related issues
• Maintain audio quality control using meters such as Surround Sound Analyzer, Phase meter, and Loudness Meters
• Provide instructions to A2s and collaborate with the technical team to resolve issues as they arise
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of remote production experience at the network level in an A1 role
• Proficiency in mixing stereo and 5.1 program feeds
• Expertise in using audio metering devices, audio boards, and signal flow concepts
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to travel and work weekends and holidays as required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of broadcast communications equipment and remote production needs
Education Requirements:
• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
Salary Range:
$63 to $102 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience, and internal equity.
