The Non-Traditional Production Team works directly with all of ESPN's Collegiate Conference partners on both Linear and Digital productions. The team supports over 1,000 linear events produced from school production facilities, multiple NCAA, ACC, and SEC Championships, as well as several other productions. The Non-Traditional Production team collaborates with many internal departments at ESPN, such as Programming, Operations, and individual Sport Production teams, as well as providing feedback and assistance directly to our school partners.
The Senior Associate Producer position will be part of the leadership and management team that oversees school control room Xpression graphics management and production personnel growth. This position will also be assigned to various remote sports productions and will contribute to the creative development of assigned productions, storyline ideas, and concepts for remote and integrated events.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee graphics management of a project/sport during live events from school control rooms.
• Support producing, ISO producing, and associate directing roles of a project/sport during live events from the school control rooms.
• Provide feedback on linear and digital school productions.
• Evaluate school production and technical capabilities to meet ESPN's standards.
• Collaborate with ESPN Sport Leaders and Graphic Managers to implement sport guidelines and initiatives on school productions.
• Work in various roles within production, including Graphics Producer, Associate Director, ISO Producer, and Producer for live remote events.
• Use sports knowledge to help determine the concepts, looks, and content of graphics for assigned events.
• Coordinate and support various aspects of production, including schedules and facilities.
• Contribute to storyline development for assigned telecasts.
• Research sports information for remote telecasts as directed.
• Track and report on production schedules and budgets; update production tracking spreadsheets and track the flow of remote production assets.
• Train and mentor Content Associates and Production Assistants in prepping elements for games, events, edits, or shoots.
Required Qualifications:
• A minimum of 4 years of experience with remote sports/events.
• Strong knowledge of the Ross Xpression graphics platform.
• Strong knowledge of live event production.
• Ability to manage high-volume projects and collaborate with multiple departments.
• Experience producing graphics for live events.
• Knowledge of sports and sports history.
• Experience with operating processes for remote sports productions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to function effectively in an atmosphere subject to frequent changes.
• Basic knowledge of creating story ideas and concepts for assigned teases, sales features, promotions, roll-outs, and special animation elements for assigned sports events.
