The Senior Resource Coordinator will support operational projects relating to various Programming and Production initiatives; using strong organizational, technical, analytical and troubleshooting skills. Along with planning support for the operational teams (Content Edit, Network Control, Production Control Room and Studio), this position collaborates with partners from Remote Operations Traffic and Transmission.
Production Operations is a division of Programming and Production and consists of several groups: Network Control, PCR, Studio, Content Edit, Business Resources, and Operations Specialists. Production Operations staffs the operational positions (camera, editing, master control, technical directing, etc.) that support domestic and international studio and event programming and network operations.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for various coordination functions, including, but not limited to: facilities planning and assignments, communication strategies with internal and external partners/clients, planning and booking of feeds and/or facilities, reports on specific projects or other roles as necessary.
• Coordination contact for Production, Operations, Network Traffic, Transmission and related departments for events airing on Domestic or International Networks including day of air. Duties will include interpreting complex event traffic information; follow up analysis and problem solving.
• Will participate in special event coverage or projects as necessary and provide backup for the other Resource Coordinators on the team.
• Apply creative analysis of resources to satisfy the clients as directed by Operations Management.
• Maintain analysis reports for the Operations group to be utilized in corporate settings for planning specific budgets and other related business.
• Organizational, efficiency and planning skills are required. Participation in training programs, (physical, classroom, virtual, etc.) for self-career development and/or regarding any relevant equipment and workflow changes within the operation.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 4 years Operations and/or resource planning experience at the large market or network level.
• Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays.
• Flexibility to alter shifts/days off to accommodate projects and departmental objectives is expected.
Preferred Qualifications
• Has in-depth knowledge of network operations including facilities, production requirements and workflow.
• Candidates must have good computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and solid communication skills.
