Job Title: Producer I - Event
Location: Bristol, Connecticut, United States / Charlotte, North Carolina, United States
Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate live sports event productions, working with senior production staff
• Identify content that enhances the overall concept of live sports programming
• Collaborate with the production team to produce events from concept to execution
• Manage on-site production, including scheduling, event format, and technical needs
• Direct and guide production staff in creating teases, bumps, edits, and graphics
• Provide direction to on-air talent before and during live programming
• Oversee the documentation and storytelling elements to meet company standards
• Lead meetings to develop event content and ensure the broadcast aligns with objectives
• Handle moment-to-moment editorial decisions, including storylines, replays, and graphics
• Produce assigned sports telecasts with guidance from Vice President/Coordinating Producer
• Offer feedback to production crews, maintain leadership, and foster a collaborative environment
• Support team members’ professional growth through feedback and goal-setting
• Participate in content, production, and cost/benefit decision-making for assigned events
• Coordinate with technical and operational staff to resolve content and production issues
• Attend feedback and information meetings related to assigned sports/events
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of sports production experience in remote or related environments
• Strong ability to create compelling live sports telecasts and handle complex production elements
• Knowledge of sports production models, replay producing, graphics execution, and event timing
• Extensive knowledge of story ideas, concepts, and playing rules for assigned sports events
• Capable of handling high-pressure situations and complex logistics
