Summer Intern - Film Acquisitions

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

EST x N8 Studios is seeking independent, proactive and motivated Film Acquisitions interns for the Summer 2025.

• Intern should expect to work 20 hours per week.
• This is a 100% remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research and track upcoming independent films, projects in development, and market trends across key territories.
• Assist in evaluating scripts, screeners, pitch decks, and project packages for potential acquisition.
• Draft coverage reports, summaries, and recommendations for internal review.
• Assist in scheduling meetings with producers and filmmakers.
• Monitor major film festivals, industry news, and market activity to identify promising opportunities
• Help maintain and update databases for films and filmmakers.

Throughout the internship, interns will have the opportunity to sit in on company conference calls and meetings and schedule Q&A sessions with all executives allowing for a more in-depth and well-rounded learning experience.

SKILLS
• Ability to write clear, concise script and screener coverage.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Proficient/confident in writing & speaking English.
• Proficiency in any languages other than English is a plus but not necessary.
• Independent, self-starter, proactive, motivated to learn with a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of industry platforms such as Cinando, IMDbPro, and FilmFreeway is a plus.

QUALIFICATION
• Can start before 06/01 (summer term)
• Must be willing to commit to the end of August 2025 (summer term).
• Must have a laptop.
• Must be passionate about Asian Film, TV, and the entertainment industry as a whole.
• Major in Film & Television, Media Studies, Communications, Business, Marketing, or related fields (preferred).
