Audio/Video/Lighting Technician (Live Events)

The position of A/V/L Production Technician is responsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing and troubleshooting audio, video, and lighting equipment, resulting in the effective production and presentation of LIVE EVENTS (galas, weddings, corporate meetings and conventions, festivals etc).

You will work under the supervision of the Director of Production as well as Production Managers/Leads on event preparation, operation, and execution. During this time your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

-Preparation and maintenance of A/V/L equipment at EBD warehouse

-Assist with on-site A/V/L system installations from setup and operation through strike at live events around the MKE area.

-Assist all Events By Design brands and provide support to show site management

Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements

-High school diploma or equivalent
-2+ years experience in professional AV or live event production preferred or technical training/schooling background
-Possess a valid driver license to operate fleet vehicles as needed
-Well-rounded technical aptitude in A/V/L Production equipment and practices. -I.E. operating analog & digital audio mixers, proper speaker setup+placement, cable usage/management plus signal flow via XLR/SDI/DMX, video formatting/scaling, video switching, navigating and operating
-Ability to regularly push/pull/lift equipment up to 50lbs, sometimes more
-Ability to work under stressful conditions with a sense of urgency
-Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
-Ability to multitask while working independently and collaboratively
-Passion for live events!

Compensation/Schedule

-PT/FT/Freelance options available!
-From $20-30/hr based on experience
-Must be flexible and willing to work extended hours, nights, and weekends

Schedule:

-Event Based
-Day shifts (varying)
-Warehouse Shifts: Monday to Friday (10am-6pm)
-Night shifts (varying)
-Weekends as needed (many events land on Friday and Saturday evenings)
