Support the Director of Operations, Studio/Facility in the professional and efficient management of studio activities and studio facility, serve as liaison between productions and studio operations. Coordinates with vendors, staff, follows through on production client requests and stage processes, logistics, facility repairs and maintenance, as well as a variety of clerical facility duties. Manages, trains, and mentors Facility Assistants in their support roles.
Key Responsibilities
• Daily onsite physical operations management of Studio Stages and Offices
• Coordinates with Production Leads to identify technical and physical requirements for virtual production projects and shoots including in-camera VFX on LED stages & performance capture.
• Responsible for physical facility management for Scanline/Eyeline including workspace and meeting rooms, storage and parking
• Coordinates Eyeline Crew in technical set changes and maintaining of inventory
• Coordinates parking needs for tenants and productions as they arise. This includes VIP parking, catering, trailers and work trucks and the coordination of off lot parking.
• Responsible for scheduling of officers, engineers, sprinklers on/off, blocked fire lanes, fire dept. notification, parking relocation, tenant notification and preparing billing.
• Ensure wraps are completed and conduct pre/post stage inspection with facilities team and production.
• Conducts daily stage inspections, Studio Ops team check-ins, and oversees stage checklists and procedures.
• Enforce safety rules and regulations as they relate to the studio and health and safety.
• Participate in stage and local location tech scouts.
• Maintain and cultivate relationships with studio and Netflix vendors.
• Ensure crews are maintaining assets and inventories current and accurate.
• Delegate stage needs with the Facilities team and oversee execution.
• Delegate the physical stage and crew and ensure all equipment is maintained and operational.
• Delegate and follow through with correct departments regarding production needs.
• Manages the Stage Calendar, overseeing bookings, maintenance, research, testing, and ensuring schedules and production requirements and logistics are communicated to the team and vendors.
• Cultivates a professional atmosphere within the stage crew
• Keeps immediate supervisor well-informed of activities, results of efforts and problems identified/potential problems; recommends corrective actions to immediate supervisor.
• Responsible for oversight in coordinating/sourcing equipment with studio departments.
• Review invoices with Accounting Department and with Director of Stage Operations to ensure accuracy and to obtain purchase orders.
• Direct report for Production Assistants and Operations staff
• Coordinate and approval with finance and accounting department on monthly expense purchasing and maintaining budget
• Executes, approves, and reconciles purchases and purchase orders
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of related industry experience.
• Experience in and understanding of practical applications of lighting and grip equipment.
• Exceptional Customer Service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
• Strong understanding of the studio operations process from both production and studio perspective.
• Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to loud noises, pyrotechnic effects, water and darkness.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Strong oral and written communications skills to interact with clients, vendors and other contacts.
• Proficient in G-Suite, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Adobe Suite, and other office software.
• Maintains a positive attitude, enjoys working with others, presents a professional image, and demonstrates careful, consistent attention to detail.
• Eager to learn and develop new skills with strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Capable of self-management, leading others, and taking initiative.
$80,000 - $115,000 a year
This salary range is specific to applicants applying to our position in Los Angeles, California. To determine your base salary, we consider your qualifications, skills, and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary outside of this range and will also be dependent on your location.
