Senior Director, Video Content Strategy
Position Summary:
PMC is looking for a Senior Director to develop and lead the content strategy for video across FMG brands. This role collaborates closely with editorial leaders, business-side teams, and event directors to create a cohesive video programming plan that includes daily news, video franchises, shows, and custom content.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with FMG’s Visual Director, Editor-in-Chief of WWD, and Editorial Director of FN to create and implement a video strategy
• Work with the Director of Events and Events team to develop video content for events
• Collaborate with style director and editors to produce high-performing videos for cover shoots, celebrity interviews, and events
• Hire, manage, and direct freelance editors and shooters; oversee daily operations of the video team, including vendor relations and budget management
• Partner with social media teams to maximize video reach across platforms
• Upload horizontal and vertical videos on Connatix
• Write SEO-optimized copy for video content on the site; manage video tagging and positioning for syndication
• Edit news videos quickly for both site and social media
• Conceptualize and monetize video series for distribution across platforms
• Analyze video performance data and present findings to staff on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
• Collaborate with SEO and Business Intelligence teams to adapt programming proposals based on performance insights
• Foster a positive, innovative, and collaborative work environment focused on performance and monetization
Skills:
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Google Suite, Figma, Microsoft Suite, and Asana
• Shooting experience
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
• Experience working with celebrities and talent
Typical Wage Range: $90,000 - $100,000 per year
