This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
FilmNation Legal Externship
This externship experience is intended to advance and expand externs' education by providing them with training in drafting, problem solving, negotiation and legal research and analysis. Under the supervision of the Business & Legal Affairs team, externs will be exposed to various facets of international, entertainment and intellectual property law, will participate in regular seminars with the FilmNation staff, and will undertake a semester long research project, culminating in a final presentation given to FilmNation staff.
This externship is part time and unpaid. Candidates must be eligible to receive academic credit.
Who you are:
• A current student enrolled in an accredited law school externship program
• 2L or 3L students preferred
• Strong and confident communication and writing skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive, self-starting attitude
• Passion for Film and the Entertainment Industry
Externship duration: SUMMER PROGRAM: June - August 2023 (depending on availability, May - September 2023)
Individuals who can commit to three (3) to five (5) full working days per week are preferred. (Hours range Monday through Friday, 10:00am-6:00pm ET. Please note that all hours and dates are flexible but individuals must be able to commit no less than two (2) full working days per week.
This position can be in-office, hybrid or remote.
