Fox & Friends - Line Producer
Location: New York, NY
Fox News is looking for a Line Producer to join the Fox & Friends team. This role involves managing the live production of the show, building rundowns, making editorial decisions, and overseeing communication between producers, anchors, and technical crews. The Line Producer will be responsible for ensuring the show runs smoothly and on time, adapting to any last-minute changes or breaking news.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in editorial meetings, pitch story ideas, and build/maintain the rundown throughout the week
• Manage team assignments and provide editorial guidance
• Oversee all pre-production elements, including segment approval and reporter scripts
• Write and copy-edit scripts and banners as needed
• Fact-check research packets for anchors
• Guide the technical crew through show elements during live broadcasts
• Keep anchors on time using effective cues and time management
• Ensure the aesthetics of the screen support the conversation
• Adapt to breaking news situations and adjust the rundown as necessary
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in television or live production
• Experience in a live control room environment
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field preferred
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to recognize compelling television elements
• Effective communication and leadership skills in high-pressure environments
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with newsroom and video editing software
• Strong interest in news, politics, current events, and pop culture
Salary Range:
$84,500.00 - $113,000.00 annually
