TMZ is seeking an experienced Executive In Charge of Production (EIC) to support all of its businesses including linear, digital, news operations and other verticals. This position requires a wide range of demonstrated experience running day-to-day operations and overseeing multiple ongoing projects for a production company or studio. The EIC will report to the Executive Producers.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing costs across all production and development budgets
• Budgeting and scheduling new seasons of TMZ on TV, TMZ Live, TMZ Sports, in addition to development projects and their subsequent seasons
• Managing and approving all production and post schedules in accordance with approved budgets and delivery deadlines
• Overseeing bi-weekly cost reports for all active budgets, to be reviewed with Executive Producers, Head of Revenue and Strategy and distributed to Fox Finance
• Tracking and reporting potential overages or savings
• Understanding of the complete production workflow (pre-production, production, post- production)
• Managing Production & Accounting Department personnel, including Accountants, Line Producers, Production Managers and Production Coordinators
• Approving all production-related expenses
• Experience managing stage, location shoots, and remote/ENG productions and crews
• Enforcing field protocol for obtaining appropriate rights and clearances prior to filming
• Overseeing and approving the production bibles for new productions
• Negotiating vendor deals and reviewing agreements
• Working with Executive Directors of Broadcast, IT and Digital on new projects and facility improvements
• Working closely with EP's, HR and Talent Acquisition to staff the productions by negotiating and setting all staff rates
• Partnering with Director of Talent Acquisition on staffing affairs, including hiring and salary negotiations
• Ensuring that all reference checks & background checks are promptly completed
• Working closely with HR Production Partner on all employee concerns and employee development

• Strong analytical, quantitative and financial skills
• Must have Movie Magic Budgeting
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 10 years experience in the Entertainment Industry
• Minimum 3 years prior EIC experience
• Software Proficiency: Excel and other MS Office Skills and Movie Magic Budgeting
