Job Description
Works closely with Sales Managers to ensure inventory is not unsold.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Verify logs conform to FCC regulations, i.e., IDs at top of the hour and Children's Programming commercial restrictions (no alcohol, gambling/lottery/guns, questionable commercials), FCC Kids EI promo scheduled 1x per week, per station in Children's Programming.
• Front Load spots from later in the week when there is available time on the log.
• Notify Sales/Traffic Management of open avails in key time periods.
• Handle airtime inventory, clearing displaced spots for daily and one-week out logs.
• Skims cleared of any oversell 8 weeks out by COB on Tuesdays.
• Verify Paid Program is assigned before printing log.
• Verify all programs have house numbers prior to printing.
• Check Hit Listed Programs prior to printing logs.
• Key in all fixed and fill promos.
• Notify Creative Services when log is filled and ready for review.
• Verify all time is filled and all copy is complete; investigate all conflicts prior to printing the logs.
• Create house numbers and apply copy to paid programs.
• Finalize Log and download to ITX.
• Print logs.
• Copy of log from G drive to T drive.
• Deliver logs to Master Control.
• Work with Sales, Promotions, and Master Control on all log scheduling matters.
• Call Special Reports as needed.
• Research discrepancies when necessary.
• As always, use best judgment and question anything that does not seem right.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Cross train in all traffic positions, to include log editing, copy, and some program management.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Regular attendance.
• Complete non-exempt time sheet completely, accurately, and on deadline.
• Work varied hours, holidays, weekends, and during severe weather situations as needed and/or scheduled.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
• Regularly stand; walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Television traffic or related field experience preferred.
• Ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential.
EDUCATION:
• College degree or equivalent work experience.
OTHER:
• Experience with Wide Orbit Traffic System and Excel preferred.
