Paid Intern - Outkick University at The University Of Colorado

This is a Full Time Paid Internship

OutKick University raises brand awareness geared specifically towards each university's student body. OutKick University will give students an opportunity to be an extension of OutKick on their respective campuses through social media. Interns will report directly to the New York-based Senior Producer of OutKick, and will be based at The University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create weekly digital content with the guidance of OutKick's Social Media Director & Producers
• Build a loyal community of followers by responding to comments, starting conversations, and participating in discussions
• Research and scout locations and obtain permissions to shoot on-location
• Utilize social and digital analytics to increase engagement and content performance

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be actively enrolled in The University of Colorado and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree during the length of the program
• Current class standing of sophomore, (second-year college student) or above
• Strong academic record
• Committed and available to work for the entire length of the program
• Access to own housing and transportation to/from the assigned site

STUDENTS SELECTED TO MOVE FORWARD IN THE INTERVIEW PROCESS:
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the company and media industry

COMPENSATION:

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $17.50-17.50 per hour. This job is classified as non-exempt.

STUDENTS ACCEPTED INTO THE PROGRAM:

Are required to provide a copy of an unofficial transcript or letter from the adviser/registrar showing proof of enrollment

2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR SCHEDULE:

Program Timeline: Program will take place until May 2025

Scheduled Weekly Hours: up to 24 hours per week

NOTE: Schedules vary based on department needs and your availability. We do our best to work around your class schedule.

STANDING OUT AS A TOP CANDIDATE:

Successful students have:
• Strong knowledge of OutKick's brand and voice
• Knowledge of current trends in pop culture
• A deep understanding of social media trends and what works well on each platform
• A great feel for what goes on at your campus each day
• The ability to stay highly motivated on their own
• Impeccable spelling and grammar
• Vertical video editing skills, and the ability to capture well-composed videos on a phone
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Premiere Rush, Photoshop, etc), and other creative software
