Analyst, Marketing Analytics (Media) - HBO Max

The Job
HBO Max seeks an Analyst, Marketing Analytics (Media) to join the HBO Max Marketing Technology & Operations team.
The Daily
As an Analyst, Marketing Analytics (Media), you will help drive media strategies through data and insights. You will help translate complex data into actionable insights through storytelling dashboards and visualizations. You will be responsible for collecting reporting/analysis requirements, working with the engineering team to ensure proper data flows, and partnering with media teams to provide clear strategic recommendations to drive incremental results for HBO Max. You are an experienced analytics professional who is truly passionate about marketing and data
The Essentials
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Math or related field is required
• 2 years of experience in marketing analytics, with a particular focus on media metrics
• 1 years of experience with data visualization; familiarity with Looker a plus
• Past experience executing analytics projects end-to-end, from definition through findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Experience developing campaign strategies, executing, measuring, and delivering performance insights across various paid media channels (paid social, search, display), as well as owned channels
• Experience rolling out data-driven marketing campaigns using iterative A/B test designs
• Self-starter with a proactive mindset, capable of seeking out and building the necessary relationships throughout the league in order to achieve success
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to liaise with technical, marketing, and business teams
• Strong team focus with outstanding organizational and resource management skills
• Strong technical skills are required, including experience with SQL, data mining, and data analysis
• Advertising Agency experience a plus
• Must be able to communicate effectively with media, marketing, and engineering teams
• Understanding of digital marketing, social, and advertising technologies, such as Google Marketing Platform, Google Ad Manager, Social Ad Managers, AppsFlyer, and/or Braze
• Understanding of the digital media ecosystem and subscription business model to execute a best in class media strategy
• Understanding of testing techniques (A/B, multivariate) and methodologies to advise with execution and provide insightful results
• Strong analytical skills are required, including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and summarize actionably
• Must be comfortable managing projects and timelines
• Ability to collaborate with key partners and stakeholders to define metrics, identify requirements and maintain confidentiality
