Position Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Communications & Public Affairs Officer of Warner Bros. Discovery, the EVP, Corporate Communications will manage the communications and media relations strategy on a global scale. This key role will directly support the CCO's vision for the group, helping to shape the overall WBD narrative for the company and its diverse global business segments, including Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, Warner Bros. Television Group, U.S. Networks, HBO, Max, discovery+, CNN, and Eurosport.
Key Responsibilities:
• Shaping and deploying a comprehensive strategic communication plan that reinforces WBD's position as an industry leader and advances the company's strategic business goals with various internal and external audiences.
• Providing strategic communications counsel and support to the CCO, CEO, and C-Suite as a trusted advisor, including securing appropriate speaking engagements and opportunities for presentations and op-eds.
• Developing and disseminating the company's key corporate messages.
• Aligning operational workflows and processes cross-functionally to deliver best-in-class communications practices.
• Serving as one of WBD's primary spokespeople.
• Designing and executing effective CEO and Executive Communications strategies.
• Implementing effective crisis communications strategies to mitigate reputational challenges.
• Building and enhancing WBD's brand and advancing its reputation and corporate values inside and outside the industry.
Qualifications & Experience:
• At least 15 years of communications/public relations experience at a senior level in a major corporation, talent agency, or public relations firm, with experience managing integrated strategic communications plans for large, complex, and global organizations.
• Proven strategist and tactician with experience as a primary spokesperson for a major corporation.
• Extensive experience working with global media and a network of contacts in the entertainment industry and general media.
• Skilled collaborator, adaptable, and excels at handling multiple complex challenges.
• Undergraduate degree required; MBA or other graduate degree is a plus.
