Deputy Editor, Elle

This is a Full Time Job

The deputy editor works with the editor-in-chief and executive editor to conceive, edit, and produce all content for Elle. She or he will develop story ideas, write display copy, and edit or top edit features and various sections of the magazine. She or he will work with Elle's digital team to create cross-platform packages that live across mediums. The deputy editor will also write cover lines, work with the advertising and marketing departments to produce custom and native content, and support the editor-in-chief in developing special projects and new revenue opportunities. Must have 8 or more years of professional experience at a major consumer magazine with an emphasis on fashion and culture coverage; a deep knowledge of fashion, culture, and entertainment; and substantial experience working with top writers.
